Contrary to popular belief, BODYWEIGHT ONLY exercises can be useful for building muscle, improving strength and producing cardiovascular gains when done correctly. Each workout includes a mobility component for the hips and/or shoulders, a core or abdominal isolation sequence and a combination of bodyweight strength based movements for both lower and upper body to have you feeling strong yet supple in no time at all. By focusing on correct alignment, tempo and posture throughout, you’ll ensure that you’ll be activating the right muscles at the right times to be more efficient and effective in both your training and in real life outside of the gym.

Form & Function focuses on using free weights ain a way that builds strength and muscle while simultaneously sparing your joints and helping to bulletproof your body. Combining full body mobility, stability and strength into each day with a particular emphasis on the posterior chain and core, this program is designed to help improve posture, reinforce mind-muscle connection, master form and develop a strong and stable foundation upon which to build. This is my signature LOWER BODY ONLY program. Following a full hip replacement in 2017, I was forced to redefine my approach to training. Happy Hips is the culmination of the lessons learned, offering a blueprint for building and maintaining strength and stability in the lower body whilst prioritizing injury prevention. Combining a selection of effective mobility drills, pilates inspired activation sequences, challenging weights based strength sets and easily accessible stretches, this program delivers on both education and results. While the primary aim is to increase training longevity, improve structural balance and reinforce optimal movement patterns, you’ll develop gorgeous glutes and a strong & sculpted mid section as a by product. Hi, I'm Alexa!
The last 30 years have seen me successfully navigate my own physical and mental fitness journey through all of life's different phases, and I now find myself in the perfect position to be able to share all the useful tips and tricks I've learnt along the way.
From experiencing bullying and body shaming, to choosing sobriety, having a total hip replacement and adjusting to
peri- menopause, fitness has played such a huge role in my life in allowing me to not just survive but THRIVE in the face of adversity.
I truly believe that when you develop physical strength, you develop mental toughness. With mental toughness, comes resilience. When you're resilient, you're more likely to cultivate a positive mindset. And when you have a positive mindset, you are not only far better equipped to deal with everything that life throws at you on a daily basis, but you are also in a much better place to help support, inspire and empower all the people around you.

Yes, the reason I have chosen to do this is so you can build a strong foundation and then continue to progress month by month. You can sign up for the weekly option but you will still have to make a minimum 2 month commitment. This is because I want you to give yourself the opportunity to trust the process and see the results. Each program builds on itself each month, and your nutrition will be updated based off your progress. You can ask questions any time and receive continuous support from myself and my team.
Yes! It’s imperative to me that anyone in the world can access this program.
Absolutely. The Minimalist plan offers structured strength training with ZERO EQUIPMENT required. However, you can do all the weights based programs at home if you have access to everything below.

The training programs I've written, while challenging, are suitable for all fitness levels as long as you're comfortable following a written workout along with demo videos, and asking questions if you're not sure. Newbies will learn how to develop strength from the ground up and build a solid foundation, while seasoned lifters/coaches will have the opportunity to potentially deload, hone their technique, pad out their repertoire, explore alternative ways of structuring sessions and potentially learn some new tricks to improve the skills and strength they and their clients already have.
No, each month is different. It will involve an increase in weight, change in exercise selection and updates in your meal plan depending on your results. It’s all about continued education and progress.
